Kevin's Five Bean Chili

It’s chili, need I say more?

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs lean ground beef (90%)
  • 1 15oz can kidney beans
  • 1 15oz can pinto beans
  • 1 15oz can black beans
  • 1 15oz can great northern beans
  • 1 15oz can Brooks “Chili Hot Beans”
  • 1 15oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 30oz can tomato puree
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium yellow or white onion, diced
  • 1 tsp salt, to taste
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp black pepper, ground fresh
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

Directions

  1. Brown beef with onions and peppers, 10-15 minutes
  2. Add bean, tomato puree, and diced tomatoes
  3. Mix in spices thoroughly
  4. Simmer 15-20 minutes

Substitute 0.25 lbs of each type if using dry beans.
